About the Role
We are looking to add a skilled IT engineer to our team.
The ideal applicant would be able to work well in a fast-paced setting and tackle complicated issue solving collaboratively while maintaining a cheerful, can-do attitude. You need to be dependable, aggressive, and able to remain composed under duress. Strong communication abilities, the capacity to convey information in an understandable manner, and the discretion to elevate the most pressing issues are all requirements. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor and advisor to younger IT engineers.
Requirements
-A bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field (or applicable experience)
· English proficiency is required.
Knowledge of maintaining a sizable, internationally dispersed environment
Outstanding troubleshooting abilities
Excellent familiarity with Red Hat Linux and its variations, including CentOS, Rocky, and Red Hat.
Strong knowledge of system security, kernel tweaking, and the Linux network stack
· Knowledge of virtualization technologies operating in a production setting, such as VMware.
· Knowledge of load-balancers that rely on software (HAProxy)
· Proficiency in a minimum of one scripting language, such as Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Knowledge of system monitoring programs like Nagios and Zabbix
· Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible
• Knowledge of centralized logging (ELK stack) and systems logging tools
• Knowledge of Docker containers
Accountability
· Take part in disaster recovery procedure planning, design, and testing.
· Maintenance, troubleshooting, and tuning of operating systems and applications.
· Put infrastructure in place and make it operational to support a global environment.
Execute and uphold security measures.
Suggest and carry out changes to the server environment, such as replacing malfunctioning system hardware and resolving issues.
· Execute regular software deployments and server updates/patching.
To guarantee stability and peak performance across all server environments, undertake regular monitoring and maintenance.
Automate redundant procedures by configuring, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers and services.
· Take part in planning for capacity and infrastructure.
